to look at unions a little differently in this country. their founding is no longer the same purpose. and for many of us, and i want to be clear, i love teachers, but i really am not a fan of the unions because i think a lot of them have been an impediment to our progress, you know. in new york city where they want to cut back teachers they re going to cut the new teachers coming in based on seniority and they have to fight with the unions to get good teachers merit pay, and things just that seem to make honest to goodness sense unions are standing in the way of. so i think there s a real opportunity here to look at restructuring unions or maybe making their purpose be more about the people as opposed to their own pockets and their own interests. can i just quickly say and submit i don t think i m doing any political dance and everything karen just said i agree with and i applaud her. well done. thank you. christina, let s look at the middle here. what s at stake sneer what s at
