RNN began as a pilot project in 2021 as INN’s first sustained editorial collaboration consortium. Now, INN has launched RuralNewsNetwork.org, a website featuring RNN’s collaborative series as well as outstanding daily stories pulled from its 68 participating newsrooms operating across 46 states a subset of the 400+ members of the INN Network.
Over four months, participants engage in one-on-one coaching and connect with a network of their peers to launch ambitious and transformative projects focused on revenue, readership, policy and more.
The next phase of INN’s editorial collaborations on rural health issues is being developed with support from the National Institute for Health Care Management, a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to transforming health care through evidence and collaboration.
