Jathi Ratnalu, Sreekaram and Gaali Sampath Latest Box Office Collections Mar 15, 2021, 08:00 IST
Looks like 2021 will be turning a great year for Tollywood film industry. In a span of two and a half months, a bunch of films were released and all the films have brought huge returns at the box office.
If you recall, last week, Naveen Polishetty s Jathi Ratnalu, Sharwanand s Sreekaram and Sree Vishnu s Gaali Sampath were released across the globe. Jathi Ratnalu opened to positive response from all quarters.
Coming to other movies, Sreekaram and Gaali Sampath have received mixed reviews. If reports are to be believed, Gaali Sampath and Sreekaram seems to be registering low occupancy in theatres and buzz is that the movies may be pulled of few theatres to make way for Jathi Ratnalu as people thronging theatres to watch this film. Gaali Sampath (Rajendra Prasad) had lost his voice in an accident, in which his wife was also killed. He lives in Araku with his doting son Soori (Sree Vishnu) who also suffers from a respiratory problem. His son is dreaming of owning a transport van and run the business. To help his son financially, Gaali Sampath decides to participate in a stage-play contest so that he can win prize money. This leads to some incidents that cause misunderstandings between the father and the son.

Loud characters become a liability in this survival drama
Every now and then we have been witnessing rescue efforts of the government when a child falls into a open borewell, mostly with no success . In this film, when an adult finds himself in that situation, one expects the audience to empathise, but that doesn’t happen. Rajendra Prasad as Gaali Sampath isn’t starving as long he is in the well. He has a water bottle that he hangs around his neck and he keeps sipping it at regular intervals and is seen eating chips.
