Stunning scene when you pull in to lafayette from interstate 680 and on highway 24, look what you can see at this huge fire on this hillside. We are along highway 24, we are north. The fire is north of the highway and you can see it is very smoky right now. Hopefully that means they are get water on it a lost water on it. The wind is taking the smoke over to the spring hill neighborhood. That neighborhood at this point from my Vantage Point does not look like it is in jeopardy but it will get a lot of smoke and what the people waking up in the area are going to wonder what is going on. It hook like they will be dealing with aftermath of the smoke. The high school is also on this side of the highway but it is on the other side of Pleasant Hill road. This fire is burning off of deer hill road and Pleasant Hill road on the other side from the high school. Spring hill almost friday is on this side however. Theres a little bit of lingering snow to the west, western sections of maryland but that is quickly moving o. Down south through the carolinas. This has turned into a little bit of an ice event. They have coatings down there and slippery travel through central sections of North Carolina right now. But again all this moving on off to the east and to the northeast.
