the spending bill. the stop gap bill to prevent the shutdown. sean spicer said this is a good win for the president, not for the republicans. the republicans for the most part, the spending hawks are furious. they review it as caving in to the democrats. this will be fascinating to watch across the trump administration. he s in the middle of this water among the republican party, trying to gloss it over but keeps spilling over. jon: lindsey graham said the party, the republicans, got their clocks cleaned on the bill. they did. there s no question about it. but he has to realize, when president trump was elected, he entered into an atmosphere politically among the gop that was divided. with the ted cruz supporters, jeb bush, huckabee. all of these candidates and the republican party was extremely divided. so when president trump took offered, he entered in with a gop that was divided. jon: be through are
this is downstream from where that threat is going on. they have begun the night operation. basically oroville dam is one of the tallest earthen dams in the world and one of the tallest in the state. basically there has been so much water in the north state that we haven t had in a long time that it has caused the lake to go over his emergency spillway which is as lower part of earthen dam it s meant to alleviate water for a short period of time. before it many been overflowing for more than a day which has caused the some areas to deteriorate. they have the water down to the level where it s spilling over. they believe they stopped at that point and they will fry with helicopters at night to drop rocks into the area where they had some of this deterioration to hold that part
latest. now, success on this story, this dramatic effort, to keep dam from spilling over, bursting with the compromised spillways. it s measured in inches. look behind me, wolf. if you see off in the distance, that is the water pouring out of oraville dam kicking up after that spray. that s a good sign. they say the water level here so now dropping at about four inches per hour. it had peaked, of course. it was going over the spillway, and that s when all these fears for massive flooding and possibly a huge and colossal breach surfaced. that s when they evacuated all those people. this is oraville lake, and look at it. we can give you an interesting perspective. during the drought more than two years ago you could walk parts of this lake. you could walk the lake bed, wolf, and now it s completely filled with water. they have had so much rain here

yesterday trying to deal with the violent criminal and vindicate the law, and she was killed. that is the kind of thing that too often happens. we need to be sure that when we criticize law officers, it is narrowly focused on the right basis for criticism and to smear whole departments places those officers at greater risk, and we are seeing an increase in murder of police officers. it was up 10% last year. spilling over to a condemnation for our entire police force, and morale has been affected, and it s impacted the crime rates in baltimore and crime rates in chicago. yok there s any doubt about it.
