Eutelsat, Thaicom partner to enhance satellite capacity over Asia, ET Telecom

This will be done through a new software-defined satellite (SDS) which will be positioned at 119.5 degrees east orbital slot over Asia. As per a statement, Eutelsat will lease and operate the service for half of the capacity of the new satellite for its lifetime.
