COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Columbus City Council met Tuesday evening and approved a 10-year abatement on new taxes associated with building improvements and installation of equipment for Ninth Avenue Foods.
The Southern California-headquartered packager of dairy and plant-based dairy alternative products, after an exhaustive search, chose Columbus for its facility to handle all distribution and production east of the Mississippi River. The plant will encompass 260,000 square feet. Dairy products packaged there will be sourced in Indiana.
The facility, to be located at 6200 South County Road 175W, will have 101 permanent jobs to be filled by 2024, paying an average wage of $21.24 per hour.
