now we ll start to see our area of high pressure just gradually migrate its way further eastwards. this is storm oscar, as named by the spanish met service. it s moving its way northwards. it could produce one or two showers and probably throw some high cloud towards the south west of england in particular, maybe a few showers across the south. we join a southeasterly wind across south eastern areas of england, just bringing some much warmer air our way. so across london, for example, through the weekend, we could see highs of 28 degrees.

it s gradually approaching. so it could send some more cloud throughout the day on thursday, again towards devon and cornwall, maybe one or two showers at times too. it s also true for the channel islands, but for the vast majority of us, again, it should stay dry. there will be a lot more sunshine on offer again towards eastern facing coast. then it s breezier and it s cooler. temperatures probably peaking at around 20 to 22 degrees celsius. but we will start to eventually draw some warmer feeling air in. and that s because our area of low pressure drifts away. it s starting to fill, not causing so many problems and our area of high pressure just pushes away towards the east and will start to draw in more of a southeasterly wind. so towards southeastern areas of england, away from the coast, it will start to feel warmer. there s much warmer air across the continent, of course, where it s been very hot across france, in germany. and that s starting to move its way further towards south

of sunshine, the temperature is down somewhat compared to the weekend. so 9 to 12 or 13 celsius. tuesday for some could be a fairly gloomy day as lingering fog continues through the morning in places it should thin and break. and there will be some bright or sunny spells. but for some, that fog may take much of the day to clear. and where it does, it will have an impact on the temperatures just perhaps five or six celsius where the fog is slow to clear where we see any sunshine getting up to 8 to 11 celsius. so as we head through the second half of the week, it s a dominant area of high pressure across eastern europe which starts to exert its influence over us. we also start to pick up an east or a southeasterly wind and that will start to push some slightly colder air across not not slightly colder air across not as cold as it is across eastern europe, but it will be feeling colder compared to recently. but for the week ahead with high pressure, things are looking mostly dry. lighter
