Armel says it's easier to play with all-Pinoy roster as TNC sweeps Omega for share of lead in DPC-SEA

Published April 21, 2021, 6:36 PM Photo from TNC Predator Having an all-Filipino lineup makes playing Dota 2 so much easier according to TNC Predator star midlaner Armel “Armel” Tabios.  And it was clearly evident in the ongoing Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) Season 2-Southeast Asia Upper Division as TNC easily crushed the former team of Marvin “Boomy” Rushton and Jun “Bok” Kanehara in Smart Omega, 2-0, for a share of the early lead on Wednesday, April 21.  The Filipino powerhouse got position-5 support Boomy and offlaner Bok as replacements for Korean captain Kim “Febby” Yong Min and Australian veteran Damien “kpiii” Chok after failing to qualify for the ONE Esports Singapore Major.

Redemption-seeking TNC off to hot start with sweep of Execration in DPC Season 2

Published April 14, 2021, 9:20 PM Photo from TNC Predator  Fresh from winning a championship, TNC Predator started its redemption bid in the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) Season 2-Southeast Asia Upper Division with a 2-0 sweep of Execration on Wednesday night, April 14.  Star midlaner  Armel “Armel” Tabios’ Beastmaster went ham in the series opener while ace carry Kim “Gabbi” Santos’ Luna spearheaded TNC’s come-from-behind victory in the second game.  TNC, a few days removed from its run to back-to-back titles in the APAC Predator League with its all-Filipino roster, seized an early joint leadership with Smart Omega which beat Lilgun, 2-1, earlier.

Smart Omega outplays Lilgun for triumphant debut in SEA Upper Division

Published April 14, 2021, 6:23 PM Photo from Smart Omega Smart Omega proved steadier as it downed Lilgun, 2-1, to score a victorious debut in the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) Season 2-Southeast Asia Upper Division on Wednesday, April 14.  Emerging midlaner Mc Nicholson “Mac” Villanueva on his unorthodox Beastmaster spearheaded Omega’s relentless assault in Game 1 while it was carry Justin “Tino” Grimaldo on his Alchemist who took charge in the deciding Game 3.  Both Omega and Lilgun were promoted to the Upper Division and replaced Vice Esports (now South Built Esports) and 496 Gaming after topping the Lower Division in Season 1.  The Filipino squad avenged its 2-0 loss to the Mongolian side back in their duel in the previous season.
