living former president, jimmy carter, is now receiving hospice care at his home in plains, georgia. cnn s eva mckend is in plains georgia. how is the community reacting to this news about 98-year-old president carter? reporter: well, wolf, as you can imagine, it is a mix of sadness and pride in this community tonight. you know, we have spent the last two days in plains speaking to people, and nearly everyone has some sort of story about a connection to the former president or a member of his family. there s a great little soul food restaurant here in town called bonita s, and he were speaking to miss bonita today. she was recalling when she brought her own kids to hear the former president at sunday school. that is because up until fairly recently, he was still doing sunday school lessons right here in town. we also, on the edge of town, as we were driving in, there s this large peanut statue, and this was actually used during
