This is where we are finding the rainfall in the peninsula. Some of the heaviest in san matteo and palo alto. This is on a steady clip towards sunnyvale through 11 16 tonight. The wider picture is a big storm, a lot of moisture associated with it, so were give thing one a two. Its a moderate storm, the stormiest weather tomorrow morning, between half an inch to inch of rain and wind gusts at 45 Miles Per Hour. Most of the wet weather in the north bay. The front slides to the south by 5 00 in the morning. By 7 00 tomorrow morning, wet weather is with us and the rain sticks around for much of the morning rush. But more rain is on the way. Only a matter of hours. Actually 200,000 revelers are expected to be here on the embarcadero to watch the fireworks. Crews are setting up barricades. Its the largest event in the area. Safety preps are in place for a while. Barriers along the embarcadero and police have extensive plans to keep everyone safe. Now, there arent any specific local threats but police are urging everyone to be alert. We do want the message to be that someone sees something we want them to say something. Dont assume that someone else will say something. Often times we dont know unless its brought to our attention. The coast guard has a 1,000 foot safety zone at the Ferry Building until 12 30 tonight. Boaters arent allowed there unless authorized by the captain of the port of San Francisco. Some would say we are not standing in the absolute best spot to watch the fireworks.
