Woman struck by car in North Davis
Davis police are investigating a car-versus-pedestrian collision that injured a woman Sunday night.
According to Lt. Art Camacho, the woman was out walking her dog in the area of Solito Street and Grande Avenue in North Davis when the car hit her shortly after 8:30 p.m.
The woman was transported to the UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento for treatment of unspecified injuries, Camacho said. The driver remained on scene and was cooperative with officers.
Police are still investigating the circumstances leading to the collision.
With shortened daylight hours and rainy weather on the horizon for the next couple of months, “we’re urging the public, bicyclists and pedestrians, to wear reflective clothing at night,” Camacho said.
