Quebec broke another record Wednesday, reporting 2,511 new cases of COVID-19 in the province. The total number of people infected in Quebec since the beginning of the pandemic is 199,822. According to public health, 170,045 people have recovered from the virus.
The data also reports 41 new deaths, for a total of 8,165.
The number of hospitalizations increased by 80 compared to the previous day, for a cumulative total of 1,211. Among those, the number of people in intensive care increased by 4, for a total of 152.
Wednesday 2,739 doses of vaccine were administered for a total of 25,315 so far in the province.

For the third day in a row Quebec has reported over 2,000 daily cases of COVID-19. Monday, 2,108 new cases were reported, bringing the total number of people infected to 179,093, of which 26,224 are active. According to the health ministry, 152,869 people have recovered from the virus.
The data also reports 30 new deaths, for a total of 7,766.
The number of hospitalizations increased by 38 compared to the previous day, for a cumulative total of 1,048. Among those, the number of people in intensive care remained stable, for a total of 146.
A total of 4,831 vaccinations have been administered in the province so far. The vaccination campaign will begin locally for targeted healthcare workers on Dec. 23. At the moment, the vaccine is not available to the general population.
