During the webinar titled ‘The role of robotic surgery in developing countries’ speakers focused on the role of robotic surgery in the fields of urology, general surgery and gynaecology.
There was a general consensus that robotic surgery would become a hallmark of surgery due to its benefits which include significantly less pain, less blood loss, less risk of infection, less scarring, shorter hospital stay and quicker recovery time.
