Transitions Career Consultants Skills Development Employment Benefit Program has the same mandate as before, says managing partner George Kos, with one change.
As of the beginning of February, Transitions has come under the umbrella of the provincial Ministry of Housing and Social Development. Kos says that’s the only thing that has changed.
“Now the money comes from the federal government to the ministry, and then to us. We just report to a different level of government now.”
Transitions is still the place to go for people who are unemployed or working part-time, and need new skills.
