Newport manager Steve Brougham has called on his leg-weary players to make ‘one final push’ in tomorrow’s (Saturday) Wessex League Division One play-off final showdown, against Laverstock and Ford.
Newport are just two steps away from fulfilling their dream of playing in the Wessex League, Premier Division next season. They take on Folland Sports in a Division One play-off semi-final at Smallbrook Stadium tonight, with the winners going through to face Laverstock and Ford on Saturday (23) for a place in the top flight.
Newport have moved closer to a Wessex League Division One play-off place, while East Cowes Vics are assured to Division One survival - but there was Premier League disappointment for Cowes Sports.
