Last night 17 miners went down a salt mine as part of their shift and didnt come back. Now a major rescue operation is under way. Emergency rescuers are on the scene trying to doll they can to get those miners out safely. This morning, emergency crews in an elevator nearly 900 feet below ground in upstate new york. Down in the upstate, where we are seeing some of the Power Outages, heavier bands of snow are rolling through. The roadways are still going to be treacherous at times. Unmanageable if you are trying to travel throughout the course of the day today. Broadening this out t brunt of the storm is far east and north but still the impacts remain for those in Western North carolina as well as the upstate.
