Lang added that Singtel will also continue exploring ways to incorporate technologies such as liquid cooling and artificial intelligence (AI) to further improve the efficiency of all of its data centres, including the upcoming DC Tuas.
Bharti Airtel: According to a senior sector analyst, BTL’s total payout toward its Airtel rights issue entitlement is estimated at around Rs 8132.6 crore in proportion to its 38.75% stake in the telco. Of this, it paid Rs 1,918 crore on application around two years ago. So, another Rs 6214.6 crore will need to be paid in additional calls, going forward.
Bharti Telecom Ltd has increased its stake in Bharti Airtel to 39.59% by acquiring an additional 1.35% stake from Indian Continent Investment Ltd through a Rs 8,301.73-crore block deal. ICIL s stake in Airtel has dipped to 4.56%, while Sunil Mittal s Bharti Enterprises and Singapore Telecommunications own 50.56% and 49.44% respectively in BTL.
Following the latest block deal, ICIL’s stake in Airtel has dipped to 4.56%. As per Airtel’s September quarter shareholding filing, ICIL’s stake in the telco was earlier at 5.93%.
