The automotive chip shortage, which began late last year amid the surge in demand for personal decies, may continue into next year. Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA) president Datuk Aishah Ahmad said automakers would be unable to take advantage of government incentives such as SST exemption, which unlikely be extended next year, The automotive chip shortage could continue into next year if manufacturers unable to keep up with demand from electronic and personal device manufacturers and automakers.
