Rockefeller, Jr. Memorial Parkway will be modified in a manner that continues to promote the health and safety of park employees, volunteers, partners and visitors while providing full recreational access and increased visitor services compared to summer 2020. The park is working with federal, state, and local public health authorities to closely monitor the COVID-19 pandemic and will adjust operations as needed.  The park is implementing preventive measures and mitigation actions to reduce the spread of infectious disease.

Park officials announced that the days of the spontaneous camping trips will end, to provide a better visitor experience for all the park’s visitors. This move was suggested by private concessionaires Grand Teton Lodge Company and Signal Mountain Lodge – which manage the campgrounds within Grand Teton – and approved by park administrators.

MOOSE, Wyoming Visitors to Grand Teton National Park and the John D. Rockefeller, Jr. Memorial Parkway will soon be able to reserve campsites in advance at all concession-operated campgrounds. Reservations will go live on Recreation.gov beginning January 26 for the 2021 operating season. All park campgrounds that were first come, first served are moving to this advanced reservation system. The new system responds directly to public requests for a reservation system at park campgrounds, prompting a collaborative effort between the National Park Service, Grand Teton Lodge Company, Signal Mountain Lodge, and Recreation.gov.
