A meeting of the Minister of State for Culture & Tourism (Independent Charge) Shri Prahlad Singh Patel with the Mongolian Minister of Culture, Ms Chinbat Nomin was held today in virtual mode, to discuss various issues under the Cultural Exchange Program between the two countries, and other areas of common interest.

New Delhi: Union Minister of State for Tourism and Culture ( I/C), Shri Prahlad Singh Patel addressed a webinar ‘India’s Heritage: Powering Tourism’ organized by Ministry of Tourism on the occasion of World Heritage Day 2021 today. He also inaugurated the Online Exhibition on Ramayana, the Epic by Maharishi Valmiki which is the very first online exhibition on the Ramayana. The online exhibition showcases forty nine(49) miniature paintings collections of National Museum, New Delhi from different art schools of India, dating from the 17th through the 19th century.

New Delhi: The Vice President, Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu today emphasised the need to maintain civility of words and decency of language in public discourse and said that it is necessary for a healthy and strong democracy.
Addressing the concluding ceremony of the 25-day long ceremonial ‘Dandi March’ organised as part of ‘Aazadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ in the historic Dandi village of Gujarat, the Vice President asked everyone to take inspiration from Mahatma Gandhi who always used polite and respectful language even for his opponents. “Gandhi Ji’s principle of non-violence was not limited to physical violence alone, rather it encapsulated non-violence in words and thoughts too”, he said adding that political parties should treat each other as rivals not as enemies.

New Delhi: Government of India, Ministry of Tourism has introduced the Incredible India Tourist Facilitator (IITF) and Incredible India Tourist Guide (IITG) Certification Programme, which is a digital initiative that aims at creating an online learning platform with the objective of creating a pool of well trained and professional Tourist Facilitators and Tourist Guides across the country, including in remote areas with tourism potential. The candidates can pursue these online courses from anywhere and at any time and at their own pace. The tourist facilitators and Guides are essentially interpreters of a place/event/experience tasked with making tourist spots appealing, explaining the history, myths, legends and culture associated with the destinations.
