Lend me your ears
I am not Marcus Antonius. I do not come to bury Shreveport but to praise her.
I have moved to Shreveport four different times. My family lived here from 1955 to 1957, in Shreve Island. The family moved back in the summer of 1967, just before my junior year in high school. I was one of the students present for the first day of Captain Shreve High School.
As I got ready to graduate from law school, I had an offer from Vinson & Elkins, a Houston-based large firm. It then had over 200 lawyers. It now has over 650. I was headed for bright lights and big city.
