somebody who knows that they are innocent. appreciate it. thank you. back with the panel. joining the conversation now. is there reason to believe robert mueller s team is not going to want to interview the president? you know, we don t know is the short answer. it does seem like the door is closing as far as the time that they re going to be allotted with the president and with his legal team. they ve interviewed everyone else and we always li this show saying can you imagine what and they know what we don t know yet? i would imagine he s leaving the door open with a possible interview with the president. do you think this is the white house likes to say this is in the final stretch. did you believe that? i do because i believe that the entire thing ultimately is actually not going to get in other words i believe the people that are in opposition to donald
given us a lot to think about here. first of all, there s nothing to stir up nationalist fervor like a missile going over the entire width of your country. and there are some issues with the continued militarization of the far east, but 24 hours ago, you were on this show saying, look, we re going to have to figure out a way to work and live with north korea and what it does. and yet there are just continued actions. you know, we got worked up into a lather over iran which never, ever, ever had a nuclear missile. what do we do about this? well, by the way, ali, the iranians clearly have a missile capable of striking israel and much of europe right now. and they in my view, they also have, within a year, a breakout capacity to put a nuclear device on those missiles. but turning to north korea. three quick comments. first of all, i ve watched it since the o80s. there s been an inexorable move
politicians running around coming on this show saying, oh, well, best way forward is to retrain the fighters i sound like bill clinton suddenly no, in iraq they collapsed in 1991, they collapsed in 2003. you cannot find a single time going back to the iran/iraq war where they didn t dissolve and run away. and one question people were asking last week is whether the administration would need to do a reset on its approach towards iraq and its policy. and i think what you have there in, ash carter is an expression of the frustration president obama feels which basically the straem strategy is right, but it needs the iraqi fighters to fight and if they won t do their part there is nothing the u.s. can do to save them. so secretary carter also says it s possible that the white house will consider a new strategy for the fight against isis. moving on to politics now this
