Dennis Mullen, 39, pounced on John Dewar in Glasgow’s Parkhead in Halloween 2019. Mullen stated: “I know your face, I will slash you” before stabbing Mr Dewar to the neck and chest. Mullen was remanded in custody after pleading guilty yesterday at Glasgow Sheriff Court to the assault to Mr Dewar’s injury. The court heard Mr Dewar and his colleague had delivered furniture and were heading back to their vehicle. Mullen approached them and said: “You want some?” before he ran at Mr Dewar’s colleague with a glass bottle. He then turned his attention to Mr Dewar and made the remarks.
The final section of his charge claims Bell made an offensive remark on social media. Bell, who denies the charge, was due to go on trial on Tuesday at Glasgow Sheriff Court. However, a new trial date was for June by Sheriff Paul Crozier as the Crown was not prepared.
