The Connecticut Department of Housing has launched a pilot program that will allocate $3.2 million to a quintet of nonprofit housing agencies to help finance their operational and pre-development expenses.
M&T Bank is awarding $6 million in grants to 44 nonprofit organizations across Connecticut, the company announced.
The Buffalo, New York-based bank, which recently acquired People’s United Bank, is providing the grants through its Connecticut Amplify Fund. The $25 million program will provide unrestricted multi-year support to organizations.
The Amplify Fund serves Connecticut, New York, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine and Vermont – states in which M&T has branch locations through its recently expanded footprint.
