Today in detroit the doctor listened as some of these patients and their families told in court how he ruined their lives with unnecessary cancer treatments. Heres dean reynolds. Reporter courtroom sketches could not adequately capture the anguish of the victims today as one by one they confronted the cancer doctor who prescribed aggressive chemotherapy for patients he knew were not ill and for those who were, ordering treatments that were excessive while billing medicare 34 million. In court dr. Farid fata showed no emotion for man who prosecutors said would bully and browbeat patients who dared to question his treatment. Fata has already pleaded guilty to fraud and other charges. Our top story, a horrific air crash, a collision between an air force fighter jet and a small private plane over the skies near charleston South Carolina. Witnesses described parts, including a jet engine engine falling down trt sky moments after hearing the sickening impact. Both planes went down in pieces somehow sparing lives and property below. But two lives were lost in the collision itself. Nbcs tom costello has the latest. Reporter on the ground in South Carolina all thats left of an air force f16 after it collided with a singleengine cessna raining debris on the fields below. It happened about 11 miles north of charlestone over monc ks corner near the cuppa river. Witnesses report the f16 appeared to have struck the side of the cessna. The impact causing a massive fireball in the sky and ripping the fighter planes engine off sending it crashing to the ground narrowly missing a mobile home. All we seen is two planes c
