That s only four less than California, which has twice the population. Of them, 47 are white supremacy groups, like those involved in the insurrection at the U.S Capitol in January. Extremism in Florida, however, isn t confined to one ideology. The center says 21 of the hate groups involve Black separatists. Most of the White supremacist groups existed deep in the shadows until January s insurrection at the U.S. Capitol.
