The executive council of Sharjah has announced the approval of its Health Authority service charges.
The move aims to enhance the progress of business in the health sector and provide a stimulating environment through the best services, procedures and facilities, and promote all existing and future health facilities.
The council discussed several topics on its agenda in line with the vision and the development in the Emirate of Sharjah to serve its citizens and residents.
Dubai: More than 300 women expatriates in the UAE have donated 60kg of hair in just two months to Friends of Cancer Patients (FOCP) a non-profit organisation founded in 1999.
FOCP is a member of a group comprising different international and regional organisations, including the Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) based in Geneva Switzerland, The American Cancer Society, The NCD Alliance and Kuwait-based Gulf Federation for Cancer Control. FOCP is also an affiliate of local health bodies such as UAE Ministry of Health, Abu Dhabi Health Authority, Sharjah Health Authority and Dubai Health Authority.
Expats of various nationalities contributed their healthy mane as part of an initiative launched by Dabur Amla in October 2020. The initiative encouraged women to donate their hair in support of cancer patients through FOCP. The campaign titled ‘Strong Hair Stronger You’ has been inspiring women across the UAE to donate their hair.

DUBAI The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) Sunday announced the results of the UAE’s 1st National Health Account (NHA) 2017, which was carried out in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO) and relevant health and government authorities.
The results were announced during a virtual media briefing held in presence of Dr. Hussain Abdul Rahman Al Rand, assistant under-secretary of health centers and clinics, Ministry of Health and Prevention, and representatives from the Ministry of Presidential Affairs, Ministry of Finance, Department of Health-Abu Dhabi, Dubai Health Authority (DHA), Sharjah Health Authority, Federal Competitiveness and Statistics Centre (FCSC) and the Insurance Authority.
