TY students in the Mid-West have the opportunity of taking part in a short-film competition on the Shannon Estuary which will see the winning school receiving €2,000 and the coveted COMPASS Trophy.
Passenger numbers at Shannon Airport jumped to their highest level since 2009 last year, with just under two million passing through the gateway. The figure represented a 29pc increase on 2022 numbers.
