Stretching 150km along the coast from Two Rocks to Mandurah, Perth has a claim to be the world's longest city. How did it get here and is it sustainable?
Shane Burke. Shane Burke is a data journalist whose work focuses on policy, demographics, and culture using data analysis and narrative reporting to shed light on pressing issues and trends. Raised in New York, Burke studied government at Dartmouth College and recently received a Master’s in data journalism from Columbia University. He spent last fall reporting on demographics and the census for the Salt Lake Tribune. Prior to entering the journalism field, Burke was a manager at a market research firm. For his Pulitzer Center project, he will be looking at HIV and AIDS prevention strategies in South Africa.
