ODM leader Raila Odinga has asked Kenyans to support the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI), saying it presents a concrete plan for change and unity.
Raila said the deep ethnic divisions in the country would end when BBI is implemented ahead of the 2022 general election.
Kenya now has an opportunity, through BBI, to correct the past, which we have never been given before as a nation.
The ODM leader was with ODM minority chief whip Junet Mohammed, MPs Fred Ouda, Shakeel Shabbir and Kisumu Governor Prof Anyang Nyong o and local Kisumu Central BBI campaign coordinator Dr Joshua Oron.

ODM Leader Raila Odinga has warned against negative ethnicity being used for political gain. We are Kenyans by birth and right. Nobody should think that he or she is more Kenyan than the other. We are all equal before the law, Raila said at the Kisumu Hindu crematorium.
The former Prime Minister asked Kenyans to embrace cultural diversity.
Speaking near the Old Kisumu Airport, during the cremation of Kibos Sugar and Allied Industry Director and Chairman Sardar Channan Singh Chatte, Raila instead called for tolerance, equal treatment of all Kenyans, peaceful, and harmonious existence.

The shift by former Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto to his fierce critic William Ruto s camp on Friday marked the heightened re-alignment linked to the fight for political survival as the 2022 General Election nears.
Friday s move by Isaac, a point man of the BBI campaigns in Rift Valley region, is reminiscent of past elections where top leaders sought refuge in parties perceived to be dominant in their regions to make a return to mainstream politics.
The former governor, in his speech, made no secret of the fact that he was making a strategic move to preserve his political ambition even though he said it was informed by a desire to unite the Kalenjin community .
