400 wardens deployed for 12 cattle markets LAHORE : City Traffic police issued traffic plans for 12 cattle markets here in the city. Four DSPs, 12 inspectors and more than 400 wardens have been deployed under the supervision of divisional officers, while 07 forklifts have been deployed to remove wrong parking and encroachments. White Star LAHORE: Most sacrificial animal markets, including the one at Shahpur Kanjran – the largest in Lahore organised by the divisional cattle market management company, started functioning on Sunday, attracting a considerable number of buyers. Pakistan to ban religious party after deadly protests nationwide

ISLAMABAD, KARACHI: The Pakistan government on Wednesday said it had sent a proposal to the federal Cabinet to impose a ban on the Tehreek-e-Labaik Pakistan (TLP) religious party for killing two policemen, attacking law enforcement forces and disrupting public life through nationwide protests. Demonstrations erupted in major Pakistani cities and quickly turned violent after Saad Rizvi, the head of the TLP, was arrested on Monday. Addressing a press conference, Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said that protesters had killed two policemen and injured another 340 during violent attacks on law enforcement forces. “We have decided to slap a ban on the TLP,” he said. “A file (for the purpose) is being dispatched to the federal Cabinet for formal approval.”

4 die as TLP activists clash with police - Newspaper

KARACHI: Policemen try to disperse protesters in Korangi on Tuesday. Online LAHORE: Fierce clashes which broke out in different parts of the country between charged activists of the Tehreek-i-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) and law enforcement agencies on Tuesday reportedly left four people, including a policeman, dead. Hundreds of protesters and policemen were injured and thousands of TLP activists and supporters were arrested and booked for attacking law enforcement personnel and blocking main roads and highways in protest against the arrest of their leader Allama Saad Hussain Rizvi.
