Two more confess involvement in Pallabi Shahin Uddin murder

DHAKA, May 28, 2021 (BSS) – Two more accused in sensational Pallabi Shahin Uddin murder trial today confessed their involvement in the gruesome killing and gave statement under section 164.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Nivana Khayer Jessy recorded confessional statements of Iqbal and Sharif as police produced the duo along with their partner in that crime, Titu, after end of their remand in the case.
After recording their statements, the court sent the accused to jail.
Earlier on May 23, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Dhiman Chandra Mandal placed the trio on four-day remand each.
Shahin Uddin was mercilessly hacked to death in broad daylight on May 16, in front of his son after being called to resolve a land dispute. His mother Aklima Begum filed the case with Pallabi Police Station on May 17.

Monir, another suspect in the murder of a man in Dhaka’s Pallabi, has died in a so-called shootout with the members of the Detective Branch of police after his arrest. );

The incident took place in Sagufta Housing area of Pallabi around 2 am on Sunday, according to Iftekharul Islam, additional deputy commissioner of police.
Earlier on Friday morning, murder suspect Manik was killed in an alleged gunfight with RAB in Mirpur’s Rupnagar area.
A video clip of the killing has surfaced on the internet in which Manik and Monir were seen brutally attacking businessman Shahin Uddin.
