Disgruntled Chittagong University students have launched protests after the Ministry of Education suspended examinations for three months, including those ongoing. );

The students took to the streets after the university administration announced the decision on Thursday.
SM Monirul Hasan, the acting registrar of the university, told bdnews24.com that different universities around the country suspended ongoing examinations following the ministry s decision.
“The exams in all the departments of Chittagong University were suspended in the interest of the teachers, students and employees amid the pandemic. Many exams are being held on Thursday. The suspension order will be effective from Sunday.”

Dhaka University has abandoned a plan to reopen the halls on Mar 13 to its honours and master’s students and also suspended the examinations. );

The decision came at an emergency meeting of the university’s Academic Council on Tuesday, a day after Education Minister Dipu Moni announced that classes in all universities would resume on May 24 and halls of residence would reopen on May 17.
Protesting students who demand the halls be reopened by March said that they would declare their next move once the 72 hours they gave the authorities to meet their demands was over.
