Author and journalist Ryan Girdusky on Wednesday said that private support for anti-Trump GOP group The Lincoln Project has the potential keep it afloat amid recent controversy surrounding sexual harassment allegations against one of its co-founders.
Girdusky, who was one of the the first journalists to report on the allegations against co-founder John Weaver in January, cited a recent article from The New York Times that said other leaders of the GOP organization have set up a new entity called Lincoln Project 2024, and have moved millions of dollars from the existing group into companies they control.
In an interview on Hill.TV’s “Rising,” Girdusky said this, as well as support from individual donors, could keep the organization in existence in the future.
