KOTA BARU (Bernama): The Kelantan Education Department has ordered all schools and educational institutions in seven districts placed under the movement control order (MCO) to be closed from Sunday (April 18) until April 24.
Its director Zulkernai Fauzi said the decision was made at the Kelantan Special Disaster Management Committee meeting on Covid-19 enforcement yesterday.
He said the committee recommended for the department to close all schools and educational institutions under the Education Ministry (MOE) in seven districts placed under the MCO.
“The MOE, taking into account of the current situation, has decided that all schools in seven districts placed under the MCO to be closed for a period of seven days from April 18 to 24.

A male environment enforcement officer from North East Lincolnshire Council was the victim of a “totally unacceptable” assault on Cleethorpes beach while issuing a fine to a dog walker.
A man was pushed during the disorder incident, involving a number of people, at around 2.30pm on Easter Sunday, April 4 on Cleethorpes’ Central Promenade.
Humberside Police have since identified a suspect who will be spoken to in connection with the incident.
The council is reminding dog owners that dogs are banned from the main beach between Cleethorpes Leisure Centre to Wonderland Groyne between Good Friday and September 30.

Former chef hopes to inspire next generation at new Lincolnshire Cookery School

A former chef and teacher will open Lincolnshire Cookery School in a village near Lincoln next week, offering classes for children and adults.
Lincolnshire Cookery School is located at Hill Farm in Snelland, north east Lincoln, and will open on Wednesday, April 14.
It will be run by Fiona Lucas, who trained as a chef at Selby College in her teens before working her way through the ranks. She later ran her own restaurant and public house, Castle Inn in Caywood, as well as an 18-pitch caravan site, whilst as a single parent with three children.
