Corey Christensen, 37, and Tom Davy, 27, were fatally stabbed by Dean Webber, then 19, at his home in the tiny village south of Townsville in North Queensland on the night of the 2018 NRL Grand Final.
Police ruled Mr Webber was acting in self-defence and declined to press charges after he claimed the men broke into his home, where Davy s girlfriend Candice Locke ran to hide.
Mr Webber didn t take the stand to be cross-examined in person at a coronial inquest in October as the stabbings left him with severe post traumatic stress disorder.
