The 30-share BSE Sensex climbed 317 points or 0.51 per cent to trade at 62,864, while the broader NSE Nifty moved 83 points or 0.45 per cent higher to trade at 18,617. Mid- and small-cap shares were positive as Nifty Midcap 100 gained 0.32 per cent and the small-cap 100 was up 0.44 per cent.
The domestic indices rose today led by strong buying interest in banks, financials, metals, consumer and automobile stocks. The 30-share BSE Sensex climbed 260 points or 0.42 per cent to trade at 62,688, while the broader NSE Nifty moved 81 points or 0.44 per cent higher to trade at 18,568.
The 30-share BSE Sensex rose 53 points or 0.08 per cent to trade at 62,675, while the broader NSE Nifty moved 24 points or 0.13 per cent higher to trade at 18,558. Mid- and small-cap shares were positive as Nifty Midcap crawled 0.33 per cent higher and small-cap was up 0.90 per cent.
The 30-share BSE Sensex pack slipped 306 points or 0.49 per cent to trade at 62,663, while the broader NSE Nifty moved 88 points or 0.47 per cent down to trade at 18,546. On the global front, Asian equities were in the red on US debt deal concerns and weak manufacturing data from China.
The 30-share BSE Sensex climbed 130 points or 0.21 per cent to trade at 62,976, while the broader NSE Nifty moved 37 points or 0.20 per cent higher to trade at 18,635. Mid- and small-cap shares were positive as Nifty Midcap 100 gained 0.40 per cent and the small-cap 100 was up 0.09 per cent.
