For this anniversary, which opened in july of 2015, we wanted to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the delano Grape Strike, which launched the farm Workers Movement in september of 1965. We did that through an exhibition on Dolores Huerta, who was on Cesar Chavezs words, the coarchitect of the Farm Workers strike with him. She was instrumental to achievements of the movement that gave dignity and improved the condition of migrant Farm Workers. Not many people are familiar with Dolores Huerta as they are with Cesar Chavez. For that reason, we wanted to bring her contributions to light. Come inside.
