The Fisheries Department, residents and a local environmental group have saved thousands of young salmon caught in small stagnant pools in the Little Campbell River in Langley. According to resident Jaeger Mah, last Sunday thousands of juvenile coho salmon became stuck in small pools in the river near 200 St. and 27 Ave. due to the unseasonal dry spell leading to reduced spring runoff. The Little Campbell River has its source in Langley but runs.
