Michigan dominates early, then their offense goes in a hole for about a half while the defense valiantly attempts to bar the door. Thanks to a couple boggling misses from a harried Michael Penix, they had. Michigan led by seven instead of trailed by seven when the offense entered Win The Game mode, again. JJ McCarthy fired a high hard one at Colston Loveland, who caught it and ran past an erroneously airborne safety in an echo of Roman Wilson at the Rose Bowl. Emboldened by newfound field position, Sherrone Moore called some play action that got Michigan in the red zone. First and goal from the fifteen, eight minutes left in the national championship game. The guy two seats to my left says "take us home, Blake." Michigan runs duo up the middle for three yards.
Just before Christmas I watched The Iron Claw in theaters, the first movie in I don’t even know how long I’ve gone to see on its opening night. Appealing to my love of the beautifully stupid art form that is professional wrestling, the A24 film tells the heartbreaking tale of wrestling’s Von Erich family.
So yeah, I've never written a Best & Worst (a) this late into the season, and (b) after a national title. Because of course this game is on Monday so I'm running on about 6 hours of sleep and a full day of work in the bag, so if this comes off as particularly vibes-y you'll know the reason. I also lost about 2 pages of this because my computer restarted, and I'm not going to try to recreate it. Also, winning a national title is cool and fun and I'd totally suggest other fanbases experience it if they can. A+ no notes.
