Both the West Delaware and Western Dubuque school districts are holding special elections next week.
West Delaware is asking voters to approve a $20 million general bond issue to provide funds to remodel, repair and improve the high school, middle school and Lambert Elementary buildings.
Western Dubuque is asking voters to approve continuing to levy an annual physical plant and equipment levy not to exceed to one dollar per thousand dollars of assessed valuation in any one school year for a period of ten years.
The deadline to request an absentee ballot by mail was last Friday. But people can vote in person at the Auditor’s Office through March 1st.
