The Department of National Defense (DND) vowed Saturday, May 7, to do its part in keeping the national and local elections on Monday, May 9, as orderly, honest, and peaceful as possible.

The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) boosted its aerial capabilities after it received Thursday, May 5, a Beechcraft Hawker aircraft which was donated by the San Miguel Corporation (SMC).

"I discussed that with the president, especially during the command conference. He asked, Are we in danger of being dragged into that? Because he said he allowed the US to use Clark in case it goes to war," Lorenzana said.
