the united states is known for being incredibly careful and risk averse when it comes to sending its diplomats into place where is it could be challenging for them and obviously there is a war in ukraine, we ve seen these missile strikes just this morning on the western side. so the u.s. is going to resume diplomatic presence but they are not reopening their presence like other countries are doing. the uk doing that this week. lviv is relatively speaking a safer part of ukraine but it has had some missile strikes and you have the lviv city, you have lviv kind of like a larger region just to make it clear to americans who are watching, but you saw these missile strikes in the lviv oblask as we saw secretaries austin and blinken had just potentially passed through. they went by rail and this was on rail infrastructure. what kind of message does that send? it s clearly a warning shot. it can t be an accident that the

in east ukraine, he won t stop. he wants talk with ukraine, and this is where we need to stop him. ambassador daalder, i want to pick up on something that congresswoman hartman just said. yesterday silently said that foreign leaders should not come to us with empty hands, not just presents and cakes, but was specific weapons. it is a lot of key talking about more weapons, beyond what president biden announced earlier this week? and one other weaponry could he use that the alliance has yet to give them? so, i think he s lifting a list of weapons that is primarily focused on quantity rather than quality. though there may be a couple of things, including combat aircraft, that he s been asking for a long time, that is not yet on the list. i do think that secretaries austin and blinken are going to come with more promises of more aid, well in addition to what was already promised just this week. which was another 800 million air defense systems, of artillery.
