Mosley Not Irked By Another Near-Miss

BassFan Senior Editor Following are some notes on the 2nd- through 5th-place finishers at the Sabine River Bassmaster Elite Series in Texas.
2nd: Brock Mosley
> Total = 20, 42-09
Brock Mosley, who s still in pursuit of his first tour-level victory, turned in his second straight runner-up finish (he also occupied that position at Pickwick Lake last month). It s the second time he s had a pair of 2nds in a two-month span he also did it in 2017 at the St. Lawrence River and Lake St. Clair.
This time, he ended up less than a pound and a half behind winner Jason Christie.
Grass Combo Held The Quality Wiggins Needed

Jordan Wiggins won the Bassmaster Team Championship Classic Fish-Off by a margin of more than 8 pounds.

BassFan Senior Editor Jordan Wiggins claimed the final berth for the 2021 Bassmaster Classic by winning the Classic Fish-Off over the weekend at Florida s Harris Chain of Lakes. The slot could just as easily have gone to fellow Culllman, Ala. resident Wesley Sams, his partner in a successful run at the Team Championship the previous 2 days at the same venue.
The key to both victories was a single stretch of Kissimmee grass that had eelgrass in front of it at the junction of Lake Harris and Little Lake Harris. Wiggins and Sams played a game of paper-rock-scissors the night before opening day of the Fish-Off to determine who d get the stretch for the individual portion of the event, with Wiggins taking two out of three.
