For the past 15 months, Hoover officials have been negotiating with the developer of Stadium Trace Village about a development plan and tax breaks for phase two of the center.
Council President John Lyda called out the developer of Stadium Trace Village for having a felony conviction in his past and said he didn t want to do business with a convicted felon.
The proposal, still being negotiated with the city, includes 11 acres for the city to build a performing arts center, plus a Golf Suites tiered golf range, surgery center, medical office space, and retail and dining space.
