Donald Santini, 65, of Campo, California, was sentenced Thursday in Hillsborough County, Florida, to 50 years in prison for the 1984 murder of Cindy Wood.
Before his arrest, Donald Santini had lived in California under the name of Wellman Simmonds. He was president of a local water board in Campo, a tiny suburb of San Diego, and he regularly appeared at public board meetings.
