i m a union gal. i also am a constitution and everyone has a right to due process innocent until proven guilty gal. i have to say where i stand differently between the union and between our politicians here in california is i would feel much more comfortable as a taxpayer in the state of california and a mother if we had a temporary suspension until this person is found by a jury of their career to be innocent or guilty. and if they are found to be innocent or acquitted. then you can pay them back pay. if you don t suspend somebody, if you not withholding pay. if you have them anywhere near the children, i definitely have a problem with that as a mom especially. janine, this came out of that school district case with this teacher. over the course of many years? look parents weren t telling the whole story. some type of coverup and this is how this change ended up being proposed.
