Members of Rapid Action Battalion arrested an active member of the banned militant group Ansar Al-Islam during a raid in the Bank Colony area of Savar Municipal area yesterday.
The arrestee is Md Saiful Islam (22), of Kundarpara village under Shibpur Police Station in Narsingdi district. He is currently working as a teacher at Al Jamiatul Islamia Madinatul Uloom Madrasa at the Bank Colony area in Savar, reports our Savar correspondent quoting Saiful Islam, inspector of Savar Model Police Station.

Small business owners and their employees blocked Dhaka-Aricha highway in Savar this morning protesting the government-imposed restrictions on opening shops and markets during the ongoing lockdown .
