Booneville residents hope for the Savage Theater to reopen

Fort Smith Times Record Michelle Espinoza saw her first movie at the Savage Theater. She had her first date there. Her school even took her on field trips to the theater. Back in the day, the Savage Theater stayed hopping busy. It was the place to be on a Friday night. For Espinoza, the Savage is a special place. The same is true for many people who live in Booneville, said Susan Bulger, the director of Chamber of Commerce of South Logan County/Booneville and Magazine. Everyone in town has memories of the place, and everyone wants to see it come back.
